Modern electronics are changing casting resin requirements fundamentally.
So we have also changed our casting resins fundamentally.
The evolution: Well worked out casting systems.
Well worked out casting systems:
the first casting compounds to combine thermal conductivity with flowability.
Where components are getting smaller and smaller, power density is also continuously increasing. Because of this, the thermal conductivity of casting systems has to increase. Many casting resins have thermal conductivity of up to 0.8 W/m•K. Too little to fulfill the increased requirements to a sufficient degree. We have been working intensively on the development and improvement of thermally conductive systems – and have developed our range as kit systems.
This way the existing qualities – such as good flowability, temperature resistance, chemical resistance, and temperature change behavior – could be extended by the thermal conductivity feature. Not only were we able to develop thermally conductive products on the basis of polyurethane, epoxy resin, and silocone – we were also able to furnish our tried-and-tested structural adhesives with thermal conductivity.
Polyurethane-based products

Even products that have been tried and tested in the market thousands of times can be perfected. By equipping them with high thermal conductivity. Or by developing them in such a way that the thermal conductivity can be increased progressively.
This is how perfect solutions are created for applications in which electronics under heavy stress have to be protected against outside effects and kept cool inside. -
Polyurethane-based products
-
At WEVO-CHEMIE, we have also combined thermal conductivity with our tried-and-tested elastic casting compounds. The result is products with excellent temperature change behavior which can be potted perfectly and also used in the form of a paste for local applications.
Wevo products that have been tested and proven many times over lay the foundation, such as those used in the automotive sector, for instance. -

The challenge: neat joints that conduct heat at the same time. The solution: intelligent PU-based systems in which we combine the high adhesive power of our structural adhesives with customised thermal conductivity. With mechanical features ranging from hard and tough right up to glass hard.
Specially conceived for bonding and can therefore also be used in thixotropic consistency, for example, for overhead applications. -
Polyurethane-based products
-
Special requirements require special solutions. These casting compounds are used everywhere where especially high thermal conductivity is required.
They provide for particularly good cooling and thereby for a better distribution of temperatures in the component. And they are oriented towards the most diverse types of mechanical capacities: ranging from tough and elastic to just simply hard. -
-
Epoxy-based products
-
What is the result of putting together good thermal conductivity with high temperature resistance? Electro casting resins based on epoxy that can resist up to 180 °C according to the thermal class H. Which are impressive because of their very high glass transition temperature (>150 °C) and high chemical stability. And also because of their very good flow behavior during thermal processing.
-
Silicone-based products
-
When you need especially high elasticity, temperature resistance and, at the same time, thermal conductivity, our silicone-based solutions provide precisely the right answer. They are especially suitable as a thermal interface between an electrical component and its housing and can be used applied as a liquid material or as a finished inserted part.
